Latest news on the Nelson Palace Theatre (see blog above http://nemesisrepublic.blogspot.com/200 ... hurts.html and www.savebritainsheritage.org site news http://www.savebritainsheritage.org/new ... .php?id=85
) is that there is a temporary reprieve. The building has been assessed for listing, but even if not listed, hopefully it won't be bulldozed for a car park!

At least there's a chance. Internally it's lovely. The exterior could be made more attractive quite easily (spoiled by an earlier piece of civic vandalism, cutting off its tower and entrance foyer for a road scheme).
