And now for something ...

....if not completely different, then at least more than a little out of the ordinary (with apologies to Monty Python!)

I have recently updated both my homepage and the associated fotopic collections. (and the Bread Van collection has just had some more work in progress shots added today)

Please have look around!
I am sure you'll find something of interest - how about a coke-fired horse-drawn chip van? (Yes, you did read that!)

Thanks

I'm just up the road, so I might pop in.

(But is this an ad??? Not sure as mod for this I should allow ads... :D )

Hi,

I will be adding some more images, very soon.

We have been working on the Bread Van, and it is nearly! finished, just a few more little things left to do.

These things all take time to get right.

updates

Postby StoneRoad » 17 Apr 2010, 19:20

Well, the Bread Van has gone back to Beamish Museum - just in time for their "Power from the Past" event.

I'll be adding some more images, and updating my homepage again, to reflect the new work that has just arrived.

If the kettle is not on, it soon will be!

updated "information"

Postby StoneRoad » 13 May 2010, 17:33

It's that time again!

Just done some updates to my home page and the image collections.

Most of the projects are long term, and with a small team it often looks as though nothing has been happening, until a lot of previously machined timber is built up.

The Chip Van progress has been like that - we are now at the trial build stage, so there is something to show!

One or two other changes have been made recently, as well.
Thanks for looking, if you click on the thumbnails, then I get to know what is popular!

Early July update

Postby StoneRoad » 02 Jul 2010, 18:51

Hi y'all

We've had a busy week, concentrating on the Chip Van, so I've been able to post some progress images.

A couple of other collections have had some extra images as well.

Thanks for looking

late July update

Postby StoneRoad » 27 Jul 2010, 20:56

Just a few extra images:

Chip Van - which is now waiting for the metal cladding to arrive
and further work has been done on NER 70.

Some more will be posted in the next few days.

Enjoy....

Early August Update:-

Postby StoneRoad » 08 Aug 2010, 17:28

The metal cladding for the Chip Van arrived a couple of days ago, and we've had a dry fit. The wheels and some other bits + bobs are progressing nicely....and the paint has now arrived, so work can go onto the next stage....suddenly things are happening.

Work has continued on NER70, and I've added a couple of "back-dated" images as well.

The next week or so will also see work continuing on the Miller, and I should have some more images of that project to post quite soon.

Thanks for looking/clicking.

Take Care

Mid August Update (if somewhat slightly delayed).

Postby StoneRoad » 23 Aug 2010, 20:59

Greetings from the North - it is now raining and somewhat windy....

I have just finished updating the fotopic collections, mainly showing the recent work done on cladding the bodywork of the Chip Van, and a range of other tasks such as the repairs and painting of the wheels.
Although we have been working on NER70 and the Miller as well, the best images of the progress we have made are not quite ready to be posted, so I'm sorry, but a further wait is in order.
As usual, there are two or three ‘backdated’ shots in other collections, as well.

You are welcome to have a look around at some of our previous work, as we have done quite a range of projects.

Enjoy your visit!

Just dropped by to say that I have added a few images to the Chip Van collection, mainly related to the start of the painting phase.

Thanks for clicking on the thumbnails
