Plans have been revealed for the new version.

Sad really that they closed the old one with its historic amusement park and demolished it, thus plunging the town into decline.

As with Margate - who will travel far for these 'attractions'? Better theatres in Newcastle, and as for the rest... well, there are only so many arts centres and galleries etc a region can support.

At least the listed structure will be refurbished and reused, and note the housing is far less than originally envisaged.

Oh memories - sad that the park isn't there now behind it! The building itself though is listed and let's hope for a better future than present.
