I got to have a quick look at the other listed UK amusement ride today. The Grade II listed 1929 Wicksteed Waterchute in Hull's East Park.
It's smaller than I expected, not a patch on the Scenic and not really worth a 4 hour drive each way (OK - I was in Hull for another reason!). But it's pretty amazing that something like this could survive this long in a public park.
I couldn't find out in advance when/if it runs and unfortunately it wasn't running today - but I got a few photos anyway.
