This is the ride which previously operated at Pleasureland Southport in the 80's. It had been leased from Henk Bembom by a park in Rome for the last few years but has now been brought back to Britain.

A similar, more well known model also operated at Dreamland in Margate before moving to Loudoun in the late 90's. It is now operating at a park in Hungary.

Parkware Ltd, Bembom's company which owns Loudoun Castle, has put a looping coaster up for sale. If there is any interest, they will then have to decide whether to sell this ride or the smaller Silverarrow which has operated at Loudoun as Twist and Shout since 2003.

Fingers crossed... this old favourite could potentially be operating again next year! If not… well at least we’ve still got Twist and Shout!

Thanks for that Matty,

I was lucky enough to ride this classic (situated on the car park in front of Southport's Pleasureland) circa 1984.

A fantastic coaster - It was rumoured to be moving into the main Pleasureland park but it is reported that someone decided "there wasn't the room for it!" :-(

Great memories - I would love to ride it again some day.

Here's hoping!

Gary
Please pass through the turnstiles if you are riding again.
