Winter Wonderland

Postby AJ » 15 Dec 2003, 00:12

Just come back from the Winter Wonderland at the infamous Millennium Dome. Not bad slection of rides including a Booster, Top Buzz 2, M & D's Giant Wheel & M & D's Tsunami Coaster to name but a few.

£10 admssion to the Dome for all over 12's (Maybe just a bit step) then £10 for Adult Wristbands and £4 for all under 12's. Then £4 for kids & £6 for adults to go in the Circus & the Ice Skating.

Anyway the kids loved it, looked very Christmassy with all the trees and snow everywhere and at night with all the lights it looked great.

Also some Amusement Parks could learn a bit from the Organisers of this event. There are so many Staff everywhere and I have never seen so many ride ops on rides. The qeues just kept moving and they were all so polite and happy (quite a few seemed to be German & Dutch!)

Anyway maybe this is what the Dome should have been the used for in the first place infact someone should take it on full term and turn it into what could be a great park.

Winter wonderland - New Years Eve event

Postby porf » 24 Dec 2003, 14:34

I was planning to go New Years Eve when it was to be £25 a head including all the fair rides, bands and comedians.

Having just made a trip down to the Dome to buy the tickets it appears this event has been cancelled. :(
