It is being repaired, and waiting for parts from the manufacturer. The star has been dropped and it appears they are working on the main bearing area.

I now hear that the ride has now been sold and will no longer be operating from the 2011 season.
I thought it was a popular ride,I'll miss it a lot

Hi

I'm new to Joyland Books Forum but i am a huge enthusiast of Blackpool Pleasure Beach been visiting since i was 2/3. Flying Machines is one of my favourites hence the name.

Regarding Bling it is a shame to see it go but the Maintenance problems of and lots of downtime plus high costs to repair caused the end of this ride in Blackpool Pleasure Beach lasting 6 Years in the park opening in 2004. :)

A Replacement is rumoured for 2012 8) Bling is still standing at the moment but will be removed soon or will sit SBNO until it's removal to an unknown buyer :?

Thanks for the welcome Mesmoland :D

I doubt that Drop Tower will replace because BPB already have a similar type of ride in Ice Blast and don't what to over shun The Big One :)

Hopefully the new replacement comes clear before the 2012 Season 8)
