Abandoned Roller Coasters

Postby porterm » 29 Mar 2012, 00:35

Hi all

I just stumbled across this rather interesting site with narratives of lost coasters and some good shots. Some photos have been posted elsewhere before but I thought that this was quite a concise presentation.

Incidentally, I was very lucky to get my inaugural, and sadly final rides on the former Zippin Pippin at Libertyland, USA in its last year in 2005. Strangely enough, when I read the Elvis related board "plaque" outside the ride station I somehow thought that the ride might not have long left. Very sad as it was a great little coaster; just hope its rebuild in Wisconsin is faithful to the classic original.

Some great imagery there. Thanks!
Please pass through the turnstiles if you are riding again.
