Fire at Blackpool Pleasure Beach

Postby Nick » 20 May 2004, 21:44

I have just been contacted by Illuminations Manager Richard Ryan who tells me that a major fire has broken out at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It should be on the news soon. Looks like it is in the vicinity of the Grand National.

such a shock to hear and see the fire on the news thankfully the alice ride ,trauma towers and the grand national are repairable not like the fun house fire, fire can spread and thank god for the quickness of the fire brigade we could have had a major loss of rides and also that the park was closed when it started, ther will be a major investigation in to what started it maybe an electrical fualt.
regards dave..

Just a quick update for those who do not know - Pleasure Beach Management have confirmed they expect the Grand National to be re-opened very shortly, possibly within the next week, but definitely within two.
