most saddened on hearing of the death of Geoffery Thompson today he was a good ambassador for the amusement industry and the british trourist industry as a whole he will be sadly missed my deepest sympathy go to all his family at this sad time.

The names just twigged, was this the same guy who had Thompsons Railway in the "new" side of Adventure Island all those years back?

For those who a bit younger Thompsons Railway was a minitiure railway that went round the boating lake from what I can remember there was also a trampoline area.

The trains consisted of one or two steam engines and a desel great fun.

I too was very saddened to hear of the death of Mr Thompson.I met him on 3 occasions and he was always willing to find time to talk and always pleasant and curteous,rare in these days.He will be greatly missed
