When Does the Season Start?

I am new to the travelling fairs game. When does the travelling fair season start? When is the first 'big' fair, one where I can expect to see some big hitters?

The First fairs are:

Nottingham Valentines Fair - Start's 12th Feb till 22nd
Leeds Valentines Fair - Start's 12th Feb till 21st ( it is normally a big fair for the start of the season)

hope that helps you a little.

King's Lynn starts on Saturday 14th February and I would recommend a visit if you like the novelty rides as there are no less than three due to make their UK fairground debuts there recently acquired by showmen who each have the right to an adult machine position there.
