This isn't about Dreamland, but thought people may be interested anyway.
Kevin Crace, who stepped in to save Westgate Pavilion when it faced closure a couple of years ago is keen to re-open Margate Caves- he wants to re-open to tourists but also conduct marriges down there
He also said that he would like to use it as a concert venue ....
But this is only if TDC grant him a licence........

Having just met Kevin for a Tour of the Westgate Pavillion, I think he should be granted a license, its not as if our council will get off their butts and do anything about the Caves! I wish him all the best, if he can do to the caves what he has done with the Pavillion then good luck to him!

Margate Museum closed for good yesterday, not one Councillor came in to see us or offer any help. We only need just under £10,000 to stay open for the eyar. last year the Museum had over 1,000 school children in for educational visits, what will they do now. How will our children learn about the history of our town? Regeneration, Pah!

I think it is terrible that we lose places like Margate Caves and Margate Museum for the sake of such small amounts of money when so much is being wasted elsewhere.
