Classic Tumble Bug Rescue?

maybe in their guilt at trashing the ride,bpb will donate the heritage plaque that informed people of the rides history!
i honestly can't believe bpb haven't got the ride tucked away in tact somewhere in storage,someone there must have realised its value both in cash and historical value.

Well I made it to Chippewa Lake, but the tours only run on the second Saturday of each month. I could see many rides (Coaster, Ferris Wheel) from the main gates, but didn't see the Tumble Bug. The owner had no contact details available on the main gate, so I wasn't able to get in touch.

I did get a ride on a 1927 Tumble Bug (Turtle variation) and a full-size 1918 Whip in Kennywood park (near Pittsburgh, PA).

I havn't seen any of these before but they are filled a plenty with Dreamlands Tumblebug + Scenic, Caterpillar,Bumpers etc etc and in one of them a very scary plane ride kind of thing ? Brought to you by British Pathe (and Youtube ofcourse)

These are wonderful - thanks so much for finding them! I was intrigued by the double roller-coaster-type ride, where the trains run in parallel.

These films, despite many of the attractions being different, really brought back to me the thrill of being at Dreamland in its heyday - most of my memories are from the 60s and early 70s, when I used to go there as a child and teenager.

A tinge of sadness too, to realise that pretty much all of these happy smiling people, so full of life and enjoying themselves without a care in the world, are now long gone.....

This was the "Whirlwind Racer" which used to be located next to the Scenic. It was still in the park in the 1960's but only operated with one train on the track at the same time in those days.

I can't remember exactly which year it was demolised but its site was then occupied by the "Pop Express" or the "Tom Jones" as most people called it owing to the back flash featuring "Tom Jones"

Any idea what the scary plane thing is ? It looks a total death trap.

Can't say I'd be that happy pushing my kids on it !
