Steepest rollercoaster opens in Yorkshire

A new £5million rollercoaster called Mumbo Jumbo opened on saturday 4 July in Yorkshire, according to BBC News.

Good to know at least someone in the UK is prepared to invest in new rides!

Susan and I went up for the opening of it. A great fun ride, with a 112 degree first drop and two fun inversions, plus a crazy middle section with an 180 degree left turn with the track banked to the right (outside the bend), resulting in a feeling of the car about to fall off the track.

Great to see a UK park investing in new rides, and although this ride is a bit quirky, it's a great addition and a good choice for the park.

Yes - I could have gone up to ride this on Saturday, apart from suddenly remembering I was actually scheduled to work that morning.

I believe the ride is a UK first, and only the second such coaster built, the original being at Indiana Beach, Indiana, USA, just last year.

I shall have to make a return trip to Flamingoland this season sometime.

Wow. What a screamer. If she'd have opened her eyes for the first part, she could see what's coming.
Looks like a fun little jaunt.
