parts sold and ride rebuilt also the original ark has just been restored

Out of curiosity- I've always loved Waltzers- what would need to be replaced on this ride? I had assumed the motor would be the most expensive part to replace and I imagined it would probably have a 25 kw motor but they are only around £3500.

I suppose the main bearing and the car bearings would need to be replaced too, and probably some wood, but what else would you need to do to a ride such as this to get it an ADIPS certificate?

the ride has not moved in a long time,the trams are welded so a new set of the along with a new set of steps.the gratings are made out of decking so would have to be replaced.

the list is endless not forgetting paint and artwork which is not cheap plus transport

before buying i would ring someone like rundles who would give you a ruff idea of cost

I would have a look at it with a view to restoring it but the stars are not favourable at the moment... I presume it cannot be worth a great deal if a good one one with six month's ticket is valued at £25,000

if you are interested i would contact one of the enthusiasts that has restored a ride recently to get a true idea as to cost.i do know a offer of 20k was turned down.

theirs a few machines out there at less cost if you know where to look,i can dig out some info if you pm me your email
