Margate Bank Holiday Monday

Parked up at Westbrook this morning and walked into Margate about 11.00am. Beach almost deserted, wind blowing a gale straight off the sea and very few people around. High street now has even more empty shops.
Hopefully 2 years time with Turner Contemporary and Dreamland both open it will be a different story!

The day before however, there were many people about for the RNLI celebrations. Despite the blustery weather, crowds stood to watch the rescue demonstration by our own lifeboat and one from Ramsgate. There was also music at the Piazza. Just a pity the sun didn't stay out.
