What can I do to help right now?

I see some peripheral members who might be doing more if they knew who to contact and what kinds of things need to be done right now.

It's a general way of thinking that people believe things get done by others and they sit back and comment their approval or disapproval of what's going on. What I think most people fail to realize is that the people behind such things as the rebirth of Dreamland are people just like them, and that if they really wanted to, they could get involved and make a significant contribution.

I've read one too many predictions that Dreamland will fail and believe that anyone coming here and posting as such, somewhere deep down, has an interest in Dreamland and would like that not to be the case, and post as such out of a sense of helplessness, frustration, or lack of knowledge.

Can the movers and shakers here please identify themselves with some contact information and some suggestions of how people can get involved? I've been a member for years here and am still not 100% sure who's doing what.

This could be a very productive sticky topic.

Kyle, you have done fantastically well in this campaign, especially from such a long distance.

It's important to remember though that many members who support the campaign and who have fond memories of Dreamland simply do not have time to devote to it due to the pressures of everyday life in an ever-deepening recession, but simply long for the day that they can return to Dreamland and hand over the admission fee at the gate.

Even nay-sayers are welcome, they give us something to think about and it is the mark of a fair and professionally managed internet forum that they are allowed to say their thing without fear of banishment. There is nothing worse- or more self-damaging- than a forum where only one point of view is tolerated.


As I understand it, the news is more positive than it has been for many years and my personal suggestion is that you hang on to those Air Miles for just one more year.
