Well after reading the news page today i feel really down. Seems to be a lack of communication all round........I know members of save dreamland campaign would have been more than happy to help with the park. Perhaps we can offer ongoing support throughout the summer, even if its taking a bunch of leaflets to tourist info/libraries in places we visit
Surely TDC should be assisting the park as well......
This our chance and if we're not careful we will blow it.........
Nick, do you know if TDC are supporting Dreamland or just ignoring it??

That news is very sad to read. Especially as I have been going round other forums posting that the park is open this year and its set to be the parks best season in a long time.

If he isn’t going to make any effort now then the park is not going to be any better than it was last year (a run down fun fair). I am very disappointed with Mr Ayers as he is now giving the park the same "I don’t care" attitude Jimmy Godden gave it.

Could he have turned like this because we did not agree with his pay for entry idea? His excuse that campaign members were not showing any support is clearly false as help was being offered.

im sure there is more to this than meets the eye.harry ayers is a respected showman.im sure someone is putting on pressure to make dreamland fail.there is many things that dont add up here.arcades burning down.waltzers burned down also.now harry ayers who was happy and encouraging to build dreamland up,now he has changed his mind.there is defintely a dirty tricks campaign probably by jimmy "moron" godden to make dreamland fail.would i be the only one thinking that????

I am very disappointed by the news that Mr. Ayers will be quitting Dreamland at the end of the season. Is this decision final or did Nick just catch him on a very bad day?

Maybe all the baggage that comes with Dreamland such as dealing with Mr G and TDC has got him down.

He has certainly bought in some great rides this year and everyone here looks forward to the coming season with great expectation. Some of us are a bit worried about the entrance fee system but only cos we care and want the park to be successful.

Like Nick says, he has offered all the support & help of the Save Dreamland Campaign but it has been refused. It is a sad state of affairs but you cannot help someone who does not want to help themselves.
