Coming to Margate an Eyesore like this !

I hope not. Just read the Claptrap below. Then take a looking at the Building and see what you think. Translated it probably mean we are building this heap as cheaply as possibly and assticking some tacky cladding on it and describing it as modern always goes down well with the local councillors.

Our design involved the demolition of the existing Esplanade Hotel, now vacant and the construction of 42 residential apartments, 42 car parking spaces, and approximately 4500 sqft of retail at ground level.

To support the public consultation process an exhibition of the scheme was organised in the Sea Bank Hotel adjacent to and overlooking the site, for two days. The support for the scheme was overwhelming with an excess of 150 people attending.

The new building is designed to a high standard and will make a valuable contribution to the continuing enhancement of the area. Although contemporary in concept, the building is sympathetic and respectful with regards the inclusion of indigenous quality materials such as Welsh Pennent Stone, Western Red Cedar and Copper.

Im sorry Bob but I think you are missing the point as to the campaigns objectives and the reasons why this site is here ! If you just want to continually slag off Margate in general I suggest you contact the local authority direct instead of constantly moaning on here!
