Aerial Photos of Dreamland 2005

Stumbled across some good aerial photos of Dreamland taken in May 2005. Appears that they are just part of an entire collection of Thanet photos taken by air.

Thanks for posting. I found this site a while back and have never been able to find it again because I forgot to bookmark it. There are some interesting photos of the new wind farm too. This guy is prolific with his photo taking.

Here's a pic I found the other day that I thought was quite interesting.

It was Dreamland from a few years back - with Looping Star, Ben Hur, The Moon (lol) and the the River Caves (not sure if they would have been active then). Can anyone put a rough date to the pic??

River Caves

Postby dave771 » 23 Nov 2005, 14:28

Red building in front of the Big Wheel look to the left of the railway line as it shows the car park that was also used for Dreamland customers, just shows how busy we all know it can be!

On closer inspection I'm not sure if I can see the river caves now. I thought the caves were part of the white buildings with the grey roof near the bottom of the park by the railway line? That red building looks a bit too small, unless it all seemed bigger to me when I was a kid :)

Is that a fair or circus on the green to the West of Arlington House?

Lol, I have to say I quite like the look of that thing now - very kitsch. It's the sort quasi-futuristic abode that Dr Evil would live in if he ever frequented Margate.

The buildings you are reffering to are owned by Henk Bembom and are where his company Parkware are based in Margate.

Wonder what other rides he has there , if any?

Oh come on. We all know Dr Evil frequents Margate on an all-too-regular basis!

As far as im aware Henk is in the process of moving most of the rides at Margate to his new Park at Loudon Castle in Scotland.
