Latest Consultation

The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Latest Consultation

So yet another consultation! I note the site's owners are planning on taking to the streets with clipboards asking the public what should happen to Dreamland, I was of the opinion that they had been told on many occasions. My concern is that the questions posed will be of the multiple choice 'loaded' type similar to the ones for the Margate Masterplan, whereby they will get their own way by saying it is what the public wants!

I am concerned regarding this as it seems they will plough on with consultation after consultation hoping people will tire of them and Godden & Co will achieve their ultimate ambition. Unfortunately for them, the Save Dreamland Campaign is here to stay and we will not get fed-up and will fight to the end.

Thanet District Council also concern me with comments that are made. They never really seem to want to commit to saving Dreamland, instead they come out with rubbish regarding it only being open for a few weeks and not listening to evidence provided by this campaign.

anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL WHO WANT TO SAVE DREAMLAND!
