The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Here are some photos taken by me way back in 1986 and 1987. I've been meaning to post them for a while, but have been ultra lazy.
Enjoy!
Nick/Sarah, if you'd like to use any on the site, let me know and I can send you the higher* resolution images.
*As high as the resolution can get with pictures taken on my old 110 camera

Those bring back a few memories -- Cheers for posting those.
It took me a while to work out what a few of the "arty ones" were of.

I wasn't even alive then, but it looked great. Many thanks for getting those photos online, I really enjoyed looking at them. I agree that it shows what can be done with a commited owner, but it actually looks a tad less impressive than the 'I dream of Dreamland' vision so if a new operator like Phillip Miller can get behind the park we could have something really special.
