The episode filmed in margate showing dreamland has just been on tv, brings back memories of what the park used to be like.

Did anyone tape it?
Might be a valuable tool in the fight if it ever comes to that.

Dont worry Jim this is a famous episode, a Christmas special some years ago that is repeated. It is available on tape and DVD to buy, am sure within the campaign there are many copies around.
If you get an opportunity to rent/ borrow if it is available over there it's title is the Jolly Boys Outing. There is quite a bit of Margate shown in it including Dreamland ... in better days.

No, I've never heard of it, but I'd like to see it.
Unfortunately, we get very few of your TV shows here. Very few.
I know the reverse isn't true.
There doesn't seem to be a release of it over here and UK video won't play on US machines. Different standards :-(

Forget overhyped Fawlty Towers etc this programme is the best British comedy ever made and the Jolly Boys outing is right up there in the top few episodes.

You can get it from BBC America shop on DVD but it is cheaper on amazon.com.
As far as I know it's only available as part of a full series pack in the US, you need series 6.

Talking about commedies I would like to see the Mr Bean at Blackpool Pleasure Beach. I've heard that it may not be shown on TV again because some parts may not be politically correct, but it would be great if I could buy it.

Hi all

I have the jolly boys outing on DVD and if any one is intrested would be willing to remove the bit featuring dreamland and post it on here or let you have access to my server to grab it, the bit starts at around 31.5 mins in and lasts for about 2 mins, Rides featured are the senic, water splash, mary rose and uncle albert on the remote controled boats. I allready have the full ep on me hdd so i dont have to hunting for me DVD when ever i want to watch it as its one of my fave eps, it would not take me to long to pull out the bit as above. If any one wants to buy it to add to there own collection the BBC cat no is BBCDVD1029.
