Interesting results around the country tonight as regards local elections, lots of local single issue parties gaining support and councillors.

Vote to Save Dreamland in 2007?

Put it this way, if we could have voted yesterday I would have voted against our current goverment based on this issue alone.

Stuart,

If my memory is working, I think you have it the wrong way around.

The Thanet local Labour members voted to have the local plan say that Dreamland should remain an amusement park, whereas
The Thanet local Conservative members voted to ALLOW re-development if the park was demonstrated to be not viable.

So in Thanet, vote Labour!

Vince.

we currently have a conservative run council, who voted to allow redevelopment - you are correct.
