What shall we do in the off season?

Well, now that the park is closed for the season, this really isn't the time to put Dreamland on the back burner.
I think we all agree that Dreamland can never really survive in it's current state as a seasonal landing strip for the UKs portable rides. The I Dream of Dreamland plan needs to be implemented as soon as practicle.

I think we should refocus and make a list of current obstacles and brainstorm ideas on how to address them.

I think first and foremost is to make rock-solid-sure the council returns the zoning on the site to it's previous single use status as a park.

Other towns have reinvented themselves and we need to find out who invested in them and how to get that to happen in Margate. Prince Charles himself has championed all kinds of 'green' and regeneterative projects.
Perhaps a park powered in part by solar and wind....
You never know where the big money sources can be found.
Let's get creative. One idea may spur another; a winner.

It may be too late for Pleasureland if the Cyclone comes down, but perhaps Dreamland as a living museum could also work. Old-fashioned had made candies and ice cream for sale, a glassblower, vintage rides and game arcades such as skee-ball, ...or this with modern stuff all mixed in, but all painted and housed in Victorian styled kiosks and shelters.... or do up the whole park 1950's style.
Possibilities are endless.

Anyway, it's important to put down our guard in the winter months.
