Melbourne's Luna Park's Scenic Restoration Project

Following on from yesterday's "News Page" feature on the above item.I just wondered if anyone caught my current favourite comedy show, Kath & Kim, on Living channel (UK) last Thursday night. It rather aptly featured Luna Park in its storyline, however sadly, apart from some vantage shots of their Scenic Railway, it did not actually feature in the show.

I managed to record it onto DVD if anyone would like to perhaps get it onto You Tube or this website. Classic stuff, in my personal opinion of course. At the front of the show there was a great shot of the park's iconic clown's (?) face walk through entrance. It reminded me somewhat of the former Texas Cyclone's coaster entrance at the now defunct Six Flags' Astro World park in Houston, Texas.

Martin :D

PS It's nice to hear how the Aussies appear to value their amusement park heritage with the highest regard. Maybe this will spur us on to use a little bit of TLC on our own example.
