Hey people,
Just got back from a fully packed day out at Dreamland I must admit I was pretty much impress by how've they set it all out. As they've said in other posts there white tokens for admission, red tokens for fors (what you've brought and finally if you by £20's worth of tokens you get 5 free tokens (blue 1's). For the people who wanted to get a bit wet well there's not so much luck with that at the moment since there is the log flume is there but currently not working. When I got there the first right I was so looking forward to was the Scenic Railway and I tell ya what went on it 4 times and didn't get bored once! Here are some pics that i've taken:

Hi there, yes great pictures. Myself and Dave Collard went to the park on sunday too. Overall I was impressed with the choice of rides. Should be enough there to keep all the family happy. Shame about the expensive/confusing entry system though. Also a shame that the Scenic isnt looking as good as I'd hoped. What happened to all the major refurbishments and re-painting that was supposed to happen? Oh well, at least its open. Mustnt grumble.

Well done to Ian and Rowbot for the pictures. I was waiting for some pics to be posted. I want to try and convince my parents to take me and my brother to Dreamland on Friday but they'll probably want me to stay at home and revise.

R They Building anymore Rides at dreamland they seem to have the space and if u look at the i dream of dreamland map where it shows u what they want the rides to be like none of them are there except 4 the booster and the drop, i wanted everything, like the storm and everything else they had listed It doesn't look that Exciting

The "I Dream of Dreamland" concept plan is only just that...a concept, based on a permanent Dreamland park under new ownership. This is what it could look like if Thanet Council supported Dreamland as part of their future plans.

The current Dreamland site is only a temporary measure, made possible by Mr Ayers bringing many temporary and travelling rides to the site for (possibly) this season alone, although the plan was for both this and next year.

The current situation, and the concept plan are therefore two separate things, and should not be confused. We are all hoping that Thanet Council will support the future of Dreamland as a tourism site, rather than allow the developers to build on the site instead.

I hope I have got that right!

So R There any more rides coming to dreamland soon as by the looks of the pics there is more than enough space for amny other rides

You would really have to speak to the current operator about what his plans are but as far as I am aware there are no more rides on the way,

i think they part of the park which has no rides at all on it is gonna be used for a circus in the summer holidays (kids 6weeks holidays)

I heard about the circus but they wont need that much room, and there is loads more space on the other side aswell if you look how busy and how many rides they had it looked so much better

I suspect thats what there now is pretty much all that there will be. Pretty disapointing really. There is no real comitment to Dreamland from anywhere. Certainly Thanet council is not interested and the current operator is just out to make as much as he can without investing in it. I guess with no long term future for Dreamland why would he invest in it ?

My theory is that the area in front of the Scenic Railway probably forms the 60% of the park that has already been sold. Maybe it has been agreed to keep this area clear? Who knows?
Personally I would have preferred to see all the rides on this side of the park as I believe it would be more attractive to anyone passing, rather than hide them away behind the Scenic.
