I'm very glad this building has been restored - a good job done by the builders. I have a postcard of the vicinity, taken to highlight the former Clifton Baths over the road - which became the Lido of course - and it's dated 1908. The buildings are there for all to see so yes, it's good to see a bit of old Margate being looked after for once.
It will be interesting to see just how long it takes to sell the flats.
Another bit of Margate history saved?

We drove past it today, not one flat has been sold since you posted that on November 12th 2008... not the result the developers were hoping for, I would imagine.

Possibly a lesson to learn - poky doesn't sell. It might have done once, but the property boom days are over.
Such a pity, as this could have made fabulous large flats or commercial buildings. What a dog's dinner they made of that shop infill (the one with the sale banner on).
