Didn't think we'd be able to make this, but with a bit of juggling of times we'll hopefully get down tonight.

I managed to get through to Tony Blackburn's newly relaunched Soul Show on BBC London 94.9 (FM) about half an hour ago. (I'd sent him an e-mail last week with a requested track and, suddenly remembering to tune in to the show, I heard him asking for one more person to phone in - so I did!)

I took the opportunity to mention tonight's Dreamland relaunch party, so hopefully we may see a few more people (in the excitement though, I overlooked mentioning the actual venue). Hopefully anyone interested will find theirselves forwarded to this website via a search engine for "Dreamland".

Really looking forward to tonight; I'm also bringing along a European Coaster Club friend for the ride.

Margate is buzzing it seems from the recent press coverage surrounding tonights event. I think having Prince Charles on the front page of our local paper with the headline 'Prince backs heritage park plans' has really helped spark interest. Tonight will be a fabulous night and a good opportunity to boost faith in our town and the park.

Really looking forward to seeing old faces and meeting new ones.

great event , for those of you who could not attend the event had no speaches , it had some dreamland footage and plans for the heratige park , it had some of mick tomlinsons models on desplay , scenic railway , water shute , catterpiller from the bembom era, it had some leaflets to put down what you like about margate and what you want to see at dreamland in the future , was good to talk to nick laister and sarah vickery , overall was a wicked event

Was amazing to see artists impressions of the rides tonight especially the scenic. The attendance was amazing; it was great to see the venue packed out when I arrived.

Completely agree with the fellow tired and inebriated messages posted here already...!

I'd like to write something lengthy and worthy but i'm too cream-crackered as is my toothache-ridden and danced out significant other so I would just like to say that it is probably one of the best, most well attended and relevant events that have been organised and it was a pleasure to be in attendance; one of the joys of this campaign is the randomness and unpredictability of who and what will happen and turn up when we try and organise anything; tonight achieved that in spades.

My favorite had to be the 4ft 11 guy in the dapper check suit and beret, proudly sporting a white "Spork" (for the benefit of our viewers at home, a Spork is a hybrid of a fork and spoon, usually given free with salad bar punnets at all major supermarkets) in his breast pocket. God bless you sir; I wish I had your courage to display plastic utensils with such panache.

Got to agree, a very professionally organised and well attended event.

We arrived about 9 and were surprised how busy it was - only to be told it had been far busier earlier!

It was good to meet up with people again and to see the Heritage Park plans.

when the dreamland heratige park opens in 2012 and all is secure , if nothing happens on the other side of the park maybe in 2012 we could start campaining for the other half of the park to make dreamland a whole theme park

It states that pictures and plans will be done this week, the plan that is on there at the moment is the first concept plan from June 2007. So please do not get people confused between the old plan and the newly revised plans and artists impressions.
