Big Wheel open this weekend???

Postby Stevo » 05 Apr 2006, 21:53

Hi all,

I've been browsing this forum for some months now and I think the work you are all doing is great. The last thing Margate needs is a housing estate!!

The wheel looks great in it's prominant position on the seafront. hopefully this will help bring more people to the town.

I'm hoping to go down with my wife and young son this weekend, is the wheel definately open for business ?

Does anyone know if the scienic will be open (or maybe Easter weekend more likley?)

Hi AJ,

Yes its the very same wheel owned by Mattie & Douglas Taylor of Scotland open at Elliot Hall's Winter Wonderland, as some of you may know, Elliot (past owner of the fmaous top buzz's) now owns a few HUGE 60 metre dutch wheels with fully enclosed glass 'bubble' gondolas as seen in Manchester, Birmingham, York and Seville. He also owned the ex-Roue De Paris prior to this, now just imagine one of those beasts in Margate!
