Was on my way to see Little Britain Live last night (highly overrated as suspected!) when we went past Brent Cross where Danters 'Euro Fun Park' was set up what a fantastic selection of rides from what I could see from the North Circular. They had a Wild Mouse rollercoaster, Log Flume, Booster, Chaos Afterburner, plus the usual Dodgems, Waltzers etc. It looked great all lit up and is only £6.99 for a wristband allday between 1pm - 9pm.

Now the point of my post is this is the kind of thing they need to get at Dreamland next year, yeah its a travelling fair but it looked so professional with some big hitters. But we all know that if these guys came knocking Waterbridge would just turn them away anyway!

Going to visit it on Sunday so I'll take some photos.

Danter's Wild Mouse, Log Flume and more were at the Great Dorset Steam Fair as they have been for as many years as I can remember.

August Bank holiday and the week after, there is only one place you will find Nicola and myself.

Dreamland could do with the sort of show these guys put on as a minimum before trying to show viability.

I think that anyone claiming 'viability' issues when wanting to destroy listed structures, or mess about with a site which is covered by listing, may find that it's not so simple...

Of course, many are simply greedy and don't care about the nation's heritage, then will claim anything to get their destructive way. At times though there are those willing to put up a good fight, and who do know that the site could be very viable as an amusement park, if it was allowed to be.

The whole "showman", vendor, multi-tierd money system sounds overly complicated and wasteful to me.

However, I understand that this may need to be the case for the time being.

The furure of Dreamland will need to be an owner/operator (or long term leasee/operator) to keep costs reasonable.

With too many hands in the cookie jar and everyone taking a share, the cost gets passed on to the patrons.
