Does anyone know if it is still good news on the Runaway Coasters move to Bude?

The only thing I know is on the original thread about the Runaway. It all seems to have gone quite though.

Can anyone in Folkestone (or been there recently) confirm if The Runaway Coaster is still there ?

It was about a month ago I gather - although the whole place looking very forlorn...

Thanks for that EAS. If anyone can add anything it would be appreciated (especially a couple of photos).

It would be a shame to see one of the last side friction coasters (only one other ?)end up the same way as all the rest.

They're from July though.

Speaking to Cllr. Peter Smith from Folkestone [today Saturday] the Coaster is still at the Rotunda being pulled to pieces by vandels. the council are very concerned that someone is going to get hurt, and are trying to force action by the owners!!! to do something about it. I viewed it just over two weeks ago, it is very sad.

I was over there a couple of weeks ago (not a vandal mind). It was difficult parking in that bit of Folkestone due to the model railway exhibition which takes place each year, but the Rotunda is very sad. It's gradually detoriating (I think all the likght bulbs have now gone. The caps just dropped off and smashed, only one out of many many didn't, and you can guess who now has that). The Ghost Train is gone, although I'm not sure whether it was bought or scrapped, and the Council seem more interested in renaming a school. A local school is being renamed because it has been in special measures for so long and this have pretty much filled up the local papers.

ps There is currently a dolphin in the sea around Folkestone. There was a crowd around that area watching the Dolhpin. If you're in Folkestone it's worth seeing him.

Kilarney Springs does mention the log flume in their list of attractions, but it, as several others, has no photos yet. No mention of a/the coaster other than the junior sized Wildcat that's there.
