Possibly a little off topic but there is a nice front-seat video taken on Great Yarmouth's famous wooden Roller Coaster HERE

nice video,
I love that ride and will always rank as my personal number 1 coaster in the whole world as my earliest memories of riding coasters are of this one, lets hope this never ends up facing the same fate of the Cyclone!

It's got a very long run, considering it only has one pull-up. I have never ridden it- on the one occasion I found myself in Great Yarmouth with time to spare, the park had closed for the season the day before :(

Apparently it operated in France for five years before being moved to the UK.

Doesnt compare to the Scenic tho...

I drove back to London via Gt Yarnmouth to try the one historic woodie there that I hadnt yet ridden.

It was a disappointment. Not sure exactly what it was, but it just wasnt as fun as either the scenic @ margate, or ('Nash / Big Dipper / Roller Coaster / Wild Mouse) @ Blackpool...

And I got a very evil look from the brakeman for filming on-ride on my camera :)

I remember the log flume being good there though

I believe it was built originally in 1929 and moved to Great Yarmouth in 1932. It was also my first coaster!

David.
