Friends,
There seems to be alot of frustration and disappointment running through postings, at the decision not to open, at the less than helpful "consultation" , at the councils general unhelpfulness.
I think we need to start putting together some thoughts about what we can collectively do next to continue to show our strength as a united body wanting to defend Dreamland and stop the nightmare of clone town hitting Margate.
Thoughts?

a independent petiton might a good way to start.
maybe trying to get the celebrities that have joined the save dreamland campaign to voice their opinions wider (more media spolight further afield)
also maybe local mps's that are against development of dreamland could help in some way (dont hold your breath)
maybe organise a kind of rally to voice our protests to council etc if that possibly could be done and organised
these suggestions could be used once waterbridge unveil the 2 proposals

There is a lot to look forward to. The consultation has confirmed that we are on the right track for what is being proposed for the redevelopment of the Dreamland site. The overall reception to the proposed plans by the people of Margate was very positive. Most people wanted to see a part of the site retained for amusements. These will be centred around the Scenic Railway and will consist of high quality childrens rides together with a childrens creche where the children can be safely left whilst their parents go shoping. There will be some luxury flats on the site with the upper ones having excellant sea views. There are also provisional plans for a small 4 star hotel. Good quality hotel accomodation is something Margate needs to attract tourists to the town. Once redeveloped the Dreamland site should once again be a great asset to the town.

I see the trolls are out again.
Of course there may be a few little issues, like planning permission, and we now have Waterbridge admitting that they have not tried to run a viable amusement park.
And of course we could point out that Waterbridge say that Bob is nothing to do with them.
Have a nice day.

What, Bob, is 'shoping'? And is that the royal 'we'?
I see Travelodge has just opened a Margate hotel.
Only 4 star? Not a luxury class hotel then?
Shan't bother.
Yes the troll has come out from under his bridge. It must be the warmer weather.

Who is this "we" then, "Bob"?
Why don't you just try being a bit more honest about who you are and what your interest in Dreamland is?

to be honest how many people are going to come to margate for a day out to go shopping.answer is none
anyway IF and i mean if the build a hotel there luxury or otherwise whose going to stay there when margate has nothing to offer??
well im sure the council will stick loads of asylum seekers there
this is for bob
why not tell everyone who you really are and what your purpose is
not that long ago you said and i quote "soon there will be a gym where the former arcades were"
well funnily enough that hasnt happened not that im surprised because not 1 of "bobs" post have ever been 100% accurate
so i would ignore he posts and what he says, nothing he says is ever true
considering more people wanted dreamland to stay as a theme park nearly 49%
are you really saying bob people more want dreamland to turn into a hotel than stay a theme park
i can see the tourists rushing down for that to stay in a hotel
oooo its luxury hotel wow can see 1000's of people queuing to get in there
wow margate will be packed solid just to stay at a hotel
so you think just a hotel is going to bring the tourists flocking back
well once the 100s of thousands gasp at wonder at this luxury hotel they will look at the rest of margate and pack their bags and go home again
by the way bob you said yesterday the scenic railway is dangerous and should be scrapped
now today you saying there will be childrens rides running with it
so which 1 is true bob or cant you keep track of your lies???????
dont know about you guys but "bob" lives in his only little dreamworld
you should read the facts "bob" and maybe your posts 1 day will be truthful and not a tissue of lies

Yes, this is exactly what internet trolls want: replies.
He's probably doing the same thing on a dozen different forums on different topics.
He's best ignored, as in literally: Don't respond to his posts.
The internet troll is only interested in spreading misery and looking for attention, and only receives it from replies. Tough as it may be, just avoid replying to his nonsense.
We have a park to save
