According to Nick Evans excelent book "Dreamland remembered", the Bembom family came from Holland where they allready ran a few amusement parks. They purchased Dreamland in 1981 and two of the seven brothers, Willem and Mathys, were put in charge of running the park.

Hope this helps!

Hi, the Bembom family are a major park operator across Europe, the father is Hank and has seven sons and two daughters who are all involved in the industry.

Willem and Mathys as Ian stated started at Margate in 1981/82, and when Mathys left his brother Hank took his place.

Hank is still in Margate and has a yard at the back of the Dreamland site behind the Wild Mouse and another in All Saints Ind Estate where he has many rides still and most of which have gone to the new park he has acquired, Loudon Castle in Scotland.

The first park they had which I believe is still operating is Ponypark , Slagharen in Holland.

Hanks website is www.bembomrides.com
