The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

I know that this has probably been mentioned on here before, in fact I think I've read it, but could we get involved in carnivals....
1. So the campaign may be able to recruit new members
2. So we can gain more donations
I know that not everyone can give up time etc, but maybe we could work it on a rota system
We could give out leaflets and stuff?

Carnivals have come up before and it is a good thing to be involved but it comes back to the same situation of needing local supporters to take responsibility and organise it.
Initially there need to be a volunteer to coordinate and for people to get in touch with.
Unfortunately some of us live too far away or even if local we have already got a very full workload for the Campaign and need that extra help.
If this can be taken on we would be delighted to hear from you
