Adam Wilkinson, Secretary of SAVE Britain's Heritage, has been a strong supporter of the campaign from the outset. An update was published in a recent SAVE News, keeping the Heritage Theme Park in the news and as it is read by some of the Great and Good of conservation that's no bad thing.

A quote too from the past:

SAVE Britain's Heritage wholly supports the efforts of the Save Dreamland Campaign to retain and reuse Margate's 1920 roller coaster, the oldest in the UK. Although structures such as this represent an important part of the country's social history, as well as being thoroughly delightful, they are little cared for and their interest and importance little understood. It is vital that this roller coaster is saved for not only its great interest, but also for the pleasure it has yet to give so many."

He also (as did others connected with SAVE) supported the Save the Cyclone campaign - alas with little success but not for want of trying. But the issue of the historic importance of much of our seaside heritage under threat was raised by that campaign.

He's leaving SAVE for a new role to try to stop the rot in Edinburgh, and I think we all would wish him every success for the future?
