An auction I'm attending very soon has the following lot that may be of interest :
"Pair of carved wooden dragons from the lead car of a scenic railway ride. Identical to those at Dreamland, Margate"
This auction doesn't list guide prices and whilst I am interested in this lot I suspect it'll go way over my budget
If anyone on here has a serious interest please let me know.

Hello there,
Just had a thought about these carved wooden dragons. I just wondered if they may have come from the former ill-fated "Big Dipper" at Battersea Fun Fair until the fatal accident in summer 1972.
I remember, having lived in Battersea at that time, that one of the trains was safely anchored to the ground of the former adventure playground in the park after the fatal incident.
