The old cottage on the Dreamland Site

Hey all,

Just a quick quesiton really...I recall when i was a kid in the early 80s there used to be a white cottage behind the scenic railway with a garden around it, what was it and what was it used for ? Im sure it may have been answered here before, but it just popped into my mind.

Also, rather randomly, what year was it that the Big Wheel went from the red gondalas with the open cages, to the multi coloured ones with all enclosed cages ? Was thereany specific reason for this ?

that white cottage was the bembom brothers offices and used to hold job interviews in it , i know as my friend went for a job at bemboms in 1986 ,well i would emagine that the big wheel had enclosed cages to make the ride more safer as with the cages that were not enclosed you could basically fall out if you lent over
