Looks like all of the damaged timber has now been removed. When the light is a little better I'll take a few more and add them here.

Excellent to see such progress. Sad to see so much of the original structure missing.
Hopefully the running gear has been mostly salvaged.

Come ON people, don't give up just because it's winter or you think it's hopeless.
It's not. They've been ordered to make repairs and this clearly shows something's being done.

jim theres not been many people on lately,but a least the structure has been secured for winter and i cant see any more happening before the spring

I'm sure that there are plenty still lurking Jim, sometimes there is not much to add to the good points already made.

By the way was back in Margate last week for a funeral, the town is not looking good, also heard that a pub in Ramsgate was sold for £46,000 frehold! Only an hour away from London yet there is little sign of the planet making any progress.

I guess this pre-Christmas period normally starts to get rather quiet as personal activities, such as the dreaded shopping, begin to distract our attentions.

However, I tuned into the local radio station, KMFM, earlier tonight where the presenter, Louis Hurst, was getting listeners to call in with their memories. One nice lady who lived in Margate, I believe, mentioned Dreamland in passing and the presenter said "don't get me started on that one". The caller said "we need to bring the place back".

Someone else cited memories of the former Dreamland cinema. This got me thinking that maybe placing a call into this show (that I believe goes all over Kent now, as it's networked) could bring some good discussion opportunities. Definitely something to keep Margate and Dreamland in people's mindset. Especially in the off-season.

I do hope the limited edition calendar will help keep the Dreamland (and the Shell Grotto) causes alive for a while yet. See latest news for full story and remember the money from calendars sold will go to directly to helping them.

We are still here and continue to support the campaign - it has been quiet, but nevertheless we have Dreamland in out thoughts
