Hi one and all i know its early days but..........will new heritage park bring bak gus the ghost or some other park mascot so to speak, ive fond memories makin my kids day years ago in dreamland thx joe kent....

There is actually a real ghost at Dreamland (for those who believe in that sort of thing).

When it was still George Sanger's circus, around 1893 I think, the circus strongman strangled a prostitute, was detected, and was hanged at Maidstone Jail shortly afterwards. His ghost is said to haunt the park to this day.

It's all in Nick Evans' book, Dreamland Remembered.

Yea i read about it interesting stuff,cant beat seeing gus the ghost again great little guy!

dave collard might be willing to wear a costume allday long at the park when it re opens , as gus the ghost or a new charecter , as he did many years ago

Most of the other theme parks have mascot i think its important for young children to have the fun of meeting dreamlands new mascot would be good sales dive to me thinks!

If we get the park open, the mascot should be called "Jolly Jim".

Evening all, a park mascot sounds like a fun idea but the days of me in a Gus costume, or any other costume at Dreamland are well and truly gone ! Your suggestion Vince did amuse me though, but enough said on that :lol: :lol: :lol:

I believe so, but where did this little guy go i think it be real nice touch to keep little gus alive,, my kids although grown up now have fond memories of the little guy thx dave my kids never 4 get you gus.......
