The Hrubetz Meteorites were 12-section machines, and the second Meteorite to arrive in the UK was another Hrubetz delivered to Blackpool Pleasure Beach in 1969, the very same year that the visionary Mr Nick Laister also 'arrived'
To this day both man and machine remain inseparable.
Happy 40th Nick!

And all the best from me Nick, belatedly, after returning home from an afternoon in Hastings.
I trust it was today. (I had no idea as I didn't think dates of births were on our profiles!) I just wish I could start going backwards from now age-wise.

Thank you everybody for your birthday wishes and for reminding me that I have reached that particular milestone! And to think that we are calling the Meteorite ride, that was built in the year I was born (1969), historic. Oh, well, I did read somewhere that 40 is the new 30, so at least I have that to cling onto.

However, Nick, now that you aren't any longer in the first flush, I think you need to read this with care and take note:

Scenic should be OK, just about, maybe the Little Dipper at PBB...
