There's still a lot of people confused about Dreamland

I've just spent the weekend in the searing heat of Broadstairs touting my published wares and drumming up support for a certain new book which I haven't finished yet and there is still a lot of confusion among the populace about what is happening to Dreamland. Quite a few I spoke to had some idea there is a scheme afoot for a proposed heritage theme park but still believe the place will have houses and shops on it in no time. They do tell me that a new Dreamland would be good for Margate and there is universal disapproval of the Turner Con gallery.

If I had a pound for every time I was asked "Do you know what's happening at Dreamland?" I could go on holiday somewhere exotic!

I try to espouse the virtues of logging on to this website for the latest news but perople's eyes glaze over and I'm sure they're not taking it in- and I'm certain it's not the way I tell 'em

Any thoughts on how to correct this situation?

If only there were easy answers... it's still all matter of fingers crossed, isn't it, as to the future?

That's how you have to get to people sometimes, one at a time.

It's SO important that everybody here tells everyone they know. You never know when that one contact will have a great "in" somewhere, or have a brilliant funding idea or something.
