Hi All - the local Adscene has a paragraph about Duncan visiting Ramsgate and filming his new Virgin 1 TV Show - Save our Seaside.
He is giving 6 run-down seaside attractions (thoroughout the country?) the 'midas touch' and was involved in the opening of Westcliff's new look boating lake.
Apparently he has said that he would offer Thanet Council some of his time if they called me for help (regarding Margate)........so I was thinking whether the Save Dreamland Campaign would benefit from touching base with Mr. Bannatyne??? As I'm not sure TDC will take him up on his offer and it seems to good an offer to waste.

Duncan has also been visiting Felixstowe.

We are already talking to him. Duncan, however, is looking for quick fixes over short timescales, and Dreamland is too big and will take too long to get from now to opening to really fit with their format. It really needs a dedicated documentary, and we are currently exploring options about this (but not with Duncan).

But, good thinking, Lou. You're keeping your eyes and ears open. That's good.

I'm sure it's on your list, but Channel 4 got involved with a long term project in Castleford. Kevin McCloud from "Grand Designs" worked with several regeneration projects in Castleford over what I think was a 12 month period. A Dreamland/Margate version would be good
