Yes, I think this would also be a great addition. Alton Towers and Chessington, now have Sea Life as part of their set up, so why not.

Yes, I agree, there was talk of a Sea Life Centre being built in Margate at one time, but nothing came of it.

We used to have a large aquarium up at Palm Bay which was popular, my ex-girlf's Dad owned it at one point but sold it to someone who didn't look after the fish, or so she said. It was demolished in the late 80s or early 90s and it's a medical centre now.

The Sea Life brand is owned by Merlin Entertainments who are not looking to locate new centres in UK coastal locations. They are now focussing on international opportunities. However, it would be good to have more undercover attractions in Margate for those rare days when the weather isn't warm and sunny. Otherwise it could get a bit cramped in the Shell Grotto if everybody heads for there.

I'm sure that if Dreamland opens, plenty of other attractions will follow. Dreamland always was the thing that dragged Londoners towards Margate, and once they are here they will spend their pocket money on anything going.

Look how Ramsgate changed after TDC gave up on the Pleasurama development idea and focused on the harbour. I'm sure many of us can remember when Ramsgate was in the same state as Margate is now.

It is incredible to me that one man can cause so much damage to such a small island, simply through personal greed. And that a local Council could be so compliant to his every demand for so many years.
