Here are some photos I took today. Because I'm a lorry driver, or truck driver as we call it nowadays, I've focused on the lovely old Scammels, Seddon Atkinsons, Fodens and ERFs which Carter's use to move the show about but I will post some more ride-orientated photos tomorrow.

The two on the right are Charlie and Sam, they are 11. That's my mate Steve's boy Curtis with them.

Thanks for posting these Vince. I was just going to ask if there were any photos yet, and you already posted them.

It's quite odd for me seeing Carters trucks and the Scenic together, because Carter's yard is about 15 minutes from us.

Vince.

Thanks for all the photos Vince. I think I saw you today in your Campaign t-shirt, but I had an over-excited 3 year old pulling me in the opposite direction!

We had such a great time, and it was heaving this afternoon despite the really disappointing weather - sun's just come out at 7.50pm, a bit late!

Thanks to Jan and Jonathan for making this happen. Looking forward to Carters' return.

Yes, that would have been me in the Save Dreamland Campaign T-shirt, lots of people stopped me to ask about it and I told them about the Campaign and our website, I met Porf and his young lady because of it and we had a chat about our mutual friend Jimmy and the problems I have given Nick and Dave over the years

Also all the ride-ops were really chatty with me because of it and that was good because there was so much I wanted to ask about the rides.

In fairness, you had your priorities right though, I know exactly what excitable three-year-olds are like, that's where we entered the Save Dreamland story!

I really hope the Carters do come back again, they have a wonderful show!

superb

Brilliant photos and it looks like a popular weekend - superb stuff. Good to see support for both Dreamland AND Carters.

I've had the pleasure of riding with Carters twice now (Alton Towers and Warwick castle) and I loved it both times - even if it was in a slightly more reduced form than here.

Lovely rides, lovely artwork and the transport to go with it too. The staff were excellent too when I saw them.

Great to see this at Dreamland, but that shot of the Scenic hacked off in the middle is a little depressing...

Better late than never, mine are now up.

2 galleries as I've split the Margate Meltdown ones off as they're mostly of bikes.
