The Save Dreamland Campaign was launched by Joyland Books in January 2003 and is now supported by several thousand people. This is the place to discuss all aspects of saving Margate's famous amusement park and its iconic , Grade II listed Scenic Railway, Britain's oldest roller coaster.

Big Sky Jazz Festival Coasts in Again

Postby porterm » 20 Jul 2010, 23:32

Hi all

I know it's not strictly Dreamland related, however I think this, hopefully now annual event will be another crowd puller to entice more diverse visitors to Margate. With the resurgence of the new Dreamland park in a couple of years I feel that events like this could be used as possible "tie-in" attractions.

Aside from the above, I just wondered if anyone was going to be visiting the jazz festival over this coming weekend. Maybe we could hook up for a drink or two; I might even consider staying over on Saturday night.

Martin :D

PS I missed last Sunday's starter event at the Harbour Bar due to being in Holland riding a certain wooden coaster
