hi all, just a quick note to see if any one has any information as to if the park is to open this year, easter and the main tourist season is now fast aproaching and no news :?: is the park to be leased out again as last year :?: are the scenic railway trust planning to open the scenic if they get the chance :?: (great job last year, i know you had some good :D and bad :( times) or does mr godden want to keep it closed, so some locals think its a lost cause and may be a supermarket may be good after all :?:  mr wallis saying he had a good season last year and good visitor numbers were a bit of a own goal for mr goddens 'the parks not viable' stand  i do hope we all get to ride the scenic this year (and many more years to come :!: ) to all involved keep up the good work :D

Scenic Railway Trust

Postby dave771 » 22 Mar 2004, 19:28

Hi Paul, cant really answer your questions but just wanted to point out that the so called Scenic Railway Trust does not exist, Kiddell operated the Scenic till August last year and I continued running the ride till the end of the season. Dave Wallis operated the ride for the nine days for half term. Just wanted to make it quite clear that the Trust does not exist, as for the Scenic or park operating this year, I have no news as yet,

Dave
