Just a few photos which I took today, and yet another local attraction which would be better brought under the Dreamland umbrella...












Admission is free and game tokens cost £1 for three, this is a hidden treasure in a Ramsgate back street but totally fits in with the heritage ethos....

How many pinball are in the museum? Is there a 8 ball delux? will have to pop down to kent soon

I'd guess at around 30 to 40ish pinball machines, but either way there's plenty enough to kill a couple of hours (and I have done on a couple of occasions!)

There's also a jukebox and other machines including bowling games.

When we visited earlier this year they'd acquired a fairly rare Video Pinball game (Sega's "Time Scanner") the same machine I've got in the dining room! Not too many of them about.

They've also got the only "Orbiter" pinball I've seen apart from at the Las Vegas Pinball Hall of Fame. Very tricky pinball with mock gravity effects taking the ball in directions you'd not expect.

It's a really nice place, but a little tricky to find on the first visit so make sure you've looked up where it is!

Yes, I was in Addington Street Margate a few weeks ago when somebody asked me if I knew where the Pinball Parlour was.

I said "Yes, it's in Addington Street Ramsgate".

"No", she said, "It's in Margate, look" and she showed me a tourist leaflet which detailed local attractions and in that leaflet it was indeed shown as being in Margate. Hardly helpful.

I suggested she phoned the number on the leaflet which she did.

Yep, I would say there are around 30 to 40 pinball machines as well as other rarities. It is a bit out of the way but basically it's just up the hill from Waitrose and you can park in their car park (you may have to buy something from them to get the free parking)

Just the kind of thing that could be moved to Dreamland.
This is just the kind of thinking that will make the place a success. They will feed off each other.

I think it's great, and am considering coming down for a weekend to see the Grotto and the Pinball Parlour, if Dreamland was open we would make it half a week or more.

would be great to move something like this to the dreamland site,it would probably benefit it as well

Isn't there also the Hornby museum at their factory as well - not that this could be moved!

The Pinball Parlour is great, I went there a few months ago and the guy there was very knowledgeable and friendly. They have some machines from the 50's right through to more modern machines.
He did say that he had spoken to someone about getting into Dreamland some time ago ??.......as mentioned above, it would be a great addition if it were to happen.
Well worth a visit.

Oooo. I see the edge of a Fireball. That's a real classic.
