This is available on BBC iPlayer (possibly UK only) and the feature about Dreamland starts at 38.45.

He mentions rides have been acquired from Barry Island. Which ones?

Not sure, there was talk of the Waltzer but this has been offered for sale elsewhere.

Bear in mind that the interview was filmed in June 2010 (you can see Carter's Steam Fair's trucks in the background of several of the shots)

There were a few inaccuracies in that piece. We have not acquired any rides from Barry Island.

Thanks for posting the BBC link Vince; I'd completely forgotten to set my recorder (probably as I was at Legoland's fireworks the night before!) - a great display I thought by the way.

I found the programme very interesting and wathced the whole thing. I suspected there might have been some errors reference Dreamland's future but as Vince said that's the danger with pre-recorded material I guess.

I thought it was a little harsh that Sarah's Shell Grotto item was prefixed by a sudden weather warning, but I suppose that's life as they say. Well done once again though Sarah; another gem piece I reckoned.

Martin :D

PS Just hope this show spurs on some Dreamland site progress very shortly.

Any publicity is good.
This is a sure sign that Dreamland/Margate is still on the map, still on people's minds, and still has a viable future.
